Hi Everyone,
Another week down. As always there is lots of stuff going on here at West Point. This weekend there was the International Sandhurst competition. There were 56 teams from all over the world. 36 of the teams were Cadets from West Point. The rest were teams from England, Canada, Spain, Chile, China, and Australia. Plus a bunch of ROTC teams, the Naval Academy and Air Force Academy had teams and even good old USMAPS (prep school) sent up a team.
Sandhurst is basically a big training event. There are lots of different events to be completed for time and points. Boating, rappelling, obstacle courses, marksmanship, land nav, and lots of other stuff. All the teams did well and by all accounts it was a great event.

There are some of the teams out in front of the Mess Hall as they get a briefing before the competition. Our company did not win this year, but they did their best. This year the Aussies won it all. We will just have to wait till next year!

The week before we also had our class crest unveiling and it looks pretty awesome. We had a dinner with our sponsor and then they unveiled the crest. It was a big milestone for our class.

I was looking at the wrong camera!

Every class crest is different and I think the designers did a great job creating it.
